About Mary

I've always enjoyed nurturing and teaching children. I taught in a Head Start preschool for 4 years and completed many Early Childhood Education courses in college. I also have 15 years of teaching experience with students from elementary through high school. I've taught and cared for children from infancy all the way through age 11. I also speak Spanish and Portuguese and am happy to incorporate language learning into everyday play and activities if the parents wish. I adapt quickly to new situations and tailor my care to the individual needs of each child. I have extensive medical clinic experience as well, and I know how to handle emergencies and difficult situations. I have a current IVP fingerprint clearance card (background check) and current CPR and First Aid certifications. I enjoy caring for, teaching and nurturing children of all ages. I will be available during weekdays in the Village of Oak Creek and prefer to work with infants and younger children.
