Compassionate, honest and dependable describes my work ethic. Mature and professional, I enter your home sporting a smile and a good sense of humor. I have helped hundreds with bathing, feeding, medication management, safe mobility, and end of life care. I am CPR certified, a non-smoker, have experience with all transportation devices and can perform occupied bed changes if necessary. My infection control practices are top notch. Proficient in safe transfers of all kinds, I am proud of my no accidents/no falls record. I possess an understanding and patience with clients and families living with dementia and a plethora of illnesses. Cooking and baking are definite strengths of mine. No project or household chore is out of my realm; I prefer to keep busy. I own reliable transportation for your appointment and shopping needs. Please do not let my distance from your home deter you from interviewing me; reliability and punctuality are two of my strong suits!
Mary is an extremely professional, reliable and kind caregiver. For the past year she has been caring for my twin sister who suffers from a neurological illness which has now progressed to the point where my sister is bedridden: she can no longer walk, talk, or use her arms and hands and has to be fed and administered meds through a g-tube. Mary navigates all the complexity of care that my sister requires, with a competent grace that makes my sister's daily life better. She gives her a shampoo, bathes her, prepares and administers her meds/food through the g-tube, talks to her throughout and even makes her laugh. Mary takes care of all her needs. She is a lovely individual and always arrives to our house with a cheery demeanor and attitude. Our family loves and appreciates Mary. I trust her completely with the care of my sister, which allows me worry-free time to do my own work and necessary errands. Mary is an outstanding caregiver; the best of the best.
