About Mary

Mary has been reliable, punctual, genuine, and a source of encouragement for me as a new mother. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy and a 6 month old girl. Some of my concerns for past sitters has been a lack of communication. They might say the kids did great, but my suspicion that my baby had been crying the whole time creates a lack of trust. This is not so with Mary. She works beside me as a partner, lets me know how long it took for the kids to calm down after I leave without trying to hide anything. She helps me develop tips for what works and what doesn't work when I leave the house. This is wonderful! When other people are watching my kids, I can give them Mary's notes! You've probably realized that what works for you as a mother sometimes doesn't transfer to other caregivers. My son asks for her spontaneously. He doesn't warm quickly as he's the shy type, but Mary is great at discerning how much to involve children and how much to leave them alone. She is the first "stranger" I ever saw him feel immediately safe with. She fits all of my specific needs and intentional wants.
