About Mary

I'm fun, balanced, curious, and always eager to learn and try new things! I have 4+ years of experience working with kids, including 4 years teaching at Wauhatchie Forest School in Tennessee. I've worked with ages 3-12 through substitute teaching, forest school homeschooling, outdoor Pre-K, and 4th/5th grade curriculum. My experience includes wildlife and survival education, outdoor learning, and lots of social-emotional learning. I love working with kids because they remind me of all the magic in the world! I love their honesty, creativity, curiosity, and how completely unique every child is. I've also found multiple long-term families through this app and really value building trusting relationships with the families I work with. I'm moving to Chicago and am excited to meet new families and hopefully build those same lasting connections! I also have lifelong experience with dogs and 5+ years with cats, and I'm confident caring for animals with all kinds of personalities and needs.
