About Mary

As a graduate student in Urban Planning at the University of Southern California with a background in Environmental Studies, I'm passionate about helping students become confident, curious learners. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to fit your child's individual needs. Rather than focusing on memorization, I encourage creative problem-solving and making connections between classroom material and the real world. Beyond academics, I strive to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes. My experiences working in community engagement and research have taught me that the best learning happens when people feel supported, encouraged, and genuinely interested in what they're studying. I know firsthand that confidence grows through persistence and celebrating small victories along the way. My goal is to help your child improve their grades and help them become a more independent learner.
