About Mary Ann

I am a recently retired high school teacher (38 years) who is looking for "as needed" work with childcare. I especially love caring for babies and would love to help out new parents. My schedule is flexible but I do not want to be tied down to a regular schedule. I'm great with kids of all ages! I'd describe my personality as fun, enthusiastic and patient. I like working with kids because they are full of funny surprises and challenge me to think and engage. I'm looking for a job that doesn't tie me down to a regular schedule. Allows me to help young parents. I started working with kids 45 years ago as a lifeguard and then as a teacher in Ohio and then in the Issaquah School District for the past 25 years. In my spare time, I like to garden, hike, ski and read. One thing you should know about me is I can provide recs from past students. My skills include keeping kids engaged, my sense of humor and my patience.
