About Maryanne

Hello! You can call me Mare and I'd describe my personality as bubbly, easy-going, and collaborative I started working with kids when I was in high school. I joined an after school program where I would volunteer to help teachers at an elementary/middle school watch over children waiting to be picked up after school hours (ages ranged from 3 to 12 years). I also worked at a summer camp where I organized and directed outdoor activities for children (ages 3 to 11). Since then, I have been babysitting for families who needed some help with house managing and watching over their children. I prioritize communication skills, especially for younger children, by making conversation with them, urging them to vocalize needs, wants, and boundaries, and promoting a comfortable and calming environment for them to express what they want. I am adaptable, and priorotize adjusting and adapting myself to each household and their needs.
