Experience: 10 yrs
Providing compassionate support to families and serving as a reliable partner in your loved one's care is my true calling. With 10 years of experience, I offer comprehensive assistance ranging from medical management and dementia care to meal preparation, errands, and light housekeeping. I hold CPR training and First Aid certifications. My approach centers on understanding each individual's unique history and preferences to build a meaningful connection. When challenges arise, I rely on my skills in de-escalating stressful situations and redirecting attention to maintain a calm environment. I prioritize clear, consistent updates by following your preferred communication method. Whether I am assisting with personal care or providing safe transportation, I am dedicated to enhancing your family member's quality of life. I look forward to bringing my empathetic, professional care into your home to help your loved one thrive.
Mariana (Ms Mary) took care of my 96 year-old grandmother for approximately 7 months, from January of this year until her passing the beginning of July. My family could not have asked for anyone better & she comfortably fit in almost immediately. Mary was exceptional at her job & is an even better human being. She wasn't just my grandmother's caretaker, but she became part of our family. Her positive attitude, integrity, attention to detail, genuine concern for my grandmother's well-being and quality of life & endless patience, are her best assets. She showed up every day, on-time, ready to complete whatever tasks & challenges were ahead each day. I never heard her complain once about anything that was asked of her. Mary worked from 8a-2p, M-F. She would arrive & immediately go to my grandmother's room to wake her up and get her ready for the day. My grandmother could walk, with assistance, so Mary would walk behind her in order to ensure her safety. Mary would physically assist my grandmother getting out of bed, walk with her to the bathroom, wash her face, assist her with putting on her clothes, help her with her medications, monitor & record her BP & Oxygen levels, then made her breakfast. After that, my grandmother would typically take a nap. During this time, Mary would sweep & mop the floors, clean the counters, wash clothes, or whatever additional tasks were needed. Once my grandmother was up from her nap, Mary would have an activity for her to do. My grandmother was very limited physically, in what she could do, but Mary was very creative. Mary is excellent at her job, has great character & is trustworthy. I highly recommend her & anyone would be very lucky to have her care for & assist their loved one.
