My name is Maria. I am 27 years old born in Nebraska raised in Mexico now I live in TX happily with my partner and my beautiful 2 kids. I have a 7-year-old daughter and a 6-month-old boy. We love the outdoors and snacking haha. I started working with children in 2017 as a lead teacher for the 2-3-year-olds at a developmental center for 2 years. I also worked at UT of Austin as an assistant teacher for the 4-5-year-olds. I became a nanny to try a new experience in the childcare industry and this is definitely something I love doing now. I am CPR certified also I'm up to date with my shots and I do have reference from the amazing parents I've worked with in the past. I've always liked working with kids it's a passion of mine teaching them something new everyday. I'm here to help parents out, as a parent myself I understand how hard it could be at times. Mary worked with our family for over 2.5 years, starting when our son was just 3 months old and continuing until almost his third birthday. We stopped working with her only because we moved out of Austin. Mary was simply amazing—hard-working, caring, careful, and always with a sunny disposition. She was incredibly helpful and consistently made sure to follow our guidance, always asking for our input and preferences. She took care of our son as if he were her own, and over time she truly became part of our family. Our son and our family miss her greatly, and we genuinely wish she were still working with us. When our son was a baby, Mary helped with feedings, naps, walks, and playdates around the neighborhood, and she came up with creative, age-appropriate games and learning activities. As he grew into a toddler, she would take him to the Thinkery and the local library, continuing to support his development in thoughtful and engaging ways. Mary would also occasionally bring her young daughter with her, which she handled very professionally and only after checking with us first. Her daughter was lovely company for our toddler, and the dynamic worked wonderfully for our family. They became best friends. Beyond being a fantastic nanny, our whole family truly enjoyed Mary’s company. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
