I help middle school students (grades 5-8) who are struggling in math regain confidence and understanding by identifying the specific skill gaps causing the problem and fixing them step by step. I'm a former and current middle school math teacher with 20 years of classroom and tutoring experience and an active K-8 teaching certificate. I've worked with students in grades 4-10 and understand where math breakdowns most often occur. My tutoring begins with a brief diagnostic using assessment, observation, and conversation. From there, I create an individualized plan to close gaps, reduce math-related stress, and prepare students for future success. Parents often tell me their child feels less overwhelmed, more confident, and better prepared after just a few sessions. I can help with middle school math, fractions, decimals, ratios, equations, homework struggles, math anxiety, and Algebra readiness.
