About Martine

I graduated from college in 2006 majoring in English with a focus in Journalism. I worked at a daycare, located in Jamaica Plain, for three years while I was in high school. During my time there, we worked with 14 children ages ranging from 5 weeks old to 3 years old. At the daycare we played a lot with the children but also mixed that up with developmental/ educational activities such as: reading together, singing, making art projects, taking trips to the park, zoo, museum. I left the daycare when it was time for me to go to college, but I took what I learned from that experience and it has been my guide for working with children. I have fun with them but at the same time- teach and help develop. My time at the daycare has also prepared me to work with multiple children at once so I am very comfortable with that as well.
