I started taking care of kids in 2005, While I was studying Industrial Design back in my native Colombia. I very much enjoy reading out loud, I love arts and crafts, and open and unstructured activities are great as well and anything that encourages curiosity, exploring and creativity. For the past 10 years I've been taking care of infants and toddlers.

Martha was a dream. She has worked for us since our daughter was 6-month-old for almost a year. We have absolutely love her ingenuity in creating new play ideas for our daughter. She also keeps the space tidy, helps with organizing and always has a wealth of knowledge on how to encourage our daughter’s development. Truly the best nanny!

I highly recommend Martha. She was our daughters nanny from 3months to 1yr and she did an amazing job. Martha takes the job seriously and shares her knowledge and skill in Montessori, healthy nutrition, a balance of active play and quiet time.   She is sweet and caring spending time reading, singing, and speaking Spanish with our baby. When our daughter needed light physical therapy (stretching exercises) Martha’s learned with me and took care to make sure our baby stretched regularly. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Martha is a wonderful nanny and the best we've had so far. She was engaging, patient and attentive to our son. She uses Montessori philosophies, which was perfect for our family. She made suggestions for us based on what she knew our son would like and they were usually spot on. Martha is dependable, reliable and very communicative. I can't say enough good things about her and would hire her again in a heartbeat. Our son even still asks about her periodically!

Martha was an absolutely amazing nanny. A former nanny family told me that Martha is the best nanny you will ever have, and this was true for us. She was a part of our family and had an incredible connection with our daughter. She was reliable, engaged, and truly regards her care for children as a vocation. She encouraged our daughter to try new foods and planned exploratory activities for her. Her many years of experience and knowledge of young children were invaluable to us as new parents. She often brought home books for her own personal reading on cooking for children, Montessori and other learning philosophies, and ways to engage kiddos. I never saw her on her phone with our daughter. She is one of kind. We would be happy to talk with anyone who is interested.

Martha has been with my family full-time for nearly 4 years.  She started with us when my oldest was just several months old and now our second is 20 months old.  As a nanny, I would describe Martha as all of the standard things you would want: dependable, punctual, communicates well in English and Spanish, safe driver.  But beyond the basics, she is artistic, patient, and engaged.  Engaged meaning other parents, librarians, and teachers routinely commented on how we have the best nanny.  Engaged meaning she isn't on her cell phone but fully present with our kids.  Engaged meaning she puts herself fully into the job and it is more than a job to her.  She is a mature, career nanny- which you will value once you interview the field of people just looking for any job.  She will research parenting styles, conflict resolution, how to potty train, healthy foods and then apply these to her time with your children.  She is family/ tutor/ caretaker/ teacher all in one package.  

Martha has been an amazing full-time nanny to our daughter and our neighbor's daughter for the past year. She is nurturing, patient and very easy-going. She has been so supportive of every developmental stage throughout their first year. She handles herself with grace no matter how fussy, grumpy or difficult the babies have been, or how many requests we make. She has become a part of our family and we absolutely recommend her for any family looking for a nanny or babysitter.

Martha has cared for my little one since she was four months old. All I can say is whoever hires Martha to care for their children is very lucky. She is trustworthy, responsible and excellent with my little girl. My little one is full of joy and I contribute a lot of her happiness to Martha's care as she is with her 40+ hours out of the week.

Martha has been an extraordinary part of our lives over the past year. She began nannying our 3 month old daughter last spring and we knew from the start how fortunate we were to have her in our lives. She is patient, positive, and always receptive to the needs of parents. Additionally, she's taught our little girl Spanish. Every day our daughter recites Martha's name in anticipation of seeing her. Martha is one of those rare individuals who truly enjoys spending time with children. In addition to being very responsible and reliable she has a fantastic imagination and is always finding creative ad interesting things to do with our children. We have known and worked with Martha for 4+ years and she has been fantastic with our two children from ages 2.5 & 5 to 6 and 9.
