About Martha

Martha was with us for over a year, caring for my daughter from the time she was a newborn till she was 1.5 years, and for my son from the age of 3-4 years. she was our seventh nanny that we had gone through in the preceding three years. We were starting to genuinely think that we were never going to find the right fit, and had experienced so much disappointment and instability with our previous Nannie’s. We started to wonder if our expectations were the problem. Truthfully, we were simply looking for someone who truly wanted to be a part of our family, love our kids, and protect them. Someone who would give us peace of mind, and also be reliable and responsible. Someone who was to their core a good person and a loving mother-figure. Simple as that. Martha, though, was so much more than all these things combined. Martha was able to be loving, warm and affectionate whilst maintaining an extremely high standard of professionalism, reliability and punctuality. Now that we are moving to another state, we are parting ways with her and I cannot explain how sad we are over this separation from someone that has become a key member of the family. I could not possibly recommend Martha more, but she was so wonderful and has been such an enormous blessing to our family that if anything I would be simply hoping that the family she finds is deserving of her. She is truly one of a kind, not as a nanny, but genuinely as a person. We are so fortunate to have had her and to have known her, and the only unfortunate thing is, we know that no one will ever fill her shoes. It is simply not possible. If you’re looking for someone that feels like family, treats you like family, and you’re committed to treating like family as well, she is the right person. Martha, we love you more than we can ever explain. Thank you for doing the most important job and doing it so wonderfully.
