Hello families! I am an experienced childcare professional with 20 years in the childcare industry, including 7 years as a Lead Infant Teacher and 3 years as a Private Nanny. I am CPR certified and hold my CDA (Child Development Associate) credential. I provide loving, dependable, and developmentally appropriate care for infants and toddlers. I enjoy planning engaging activities that support learning and growth, as well as taking children on adventures to parks, libraries, story times, and other age-appropriate community activities. Families describe me as patient, nurturing, reliable, and organized. I value building strong relationships with both children and parents while creating a safe and positive environment. I am available to start at the end of September and am seeking a long-term nanny position. My preferred schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30/8:00 a.m. to 3:00/3:30 p.m. My rate starts at $27+ per hour. We found Marteen on Care.com and feel so fortunate to have found such a competent, caring, and responsible nanny for our children. Marteen has cared after our infant (now toddler) and preschool-aged twins over the past year. Our infant instantly bonded with Marteen and I felt very assured in leaving him in her hands from the start. She got him on a consistent schedule while promoting his development with developmentally-structured activities. Marteen has a gift in supporting infant sleep and we saw this expertise from day one. We were able to see firsthand how attentive she was and appreciated her providing us with timely updates about his care and photos throughout the day. While Marteen was initially hired to care after our infant only, she was eager to care for our preschoolers as well when the opportunity presented itself. We greatly appreciated Marteen’s flexibility. Marteen is highly skilled in working with children across the age span, which was demonstrated as she created a school environment for our preschoolers at home. We were impressed by her intentionality with lesson planning and structuring a routine for our twins. She also managed their behaviors effectively using positive behavioral principles, ensured their observation of healthy sleep habits with a nap each day, and prepared a healthy lunch for them on a daily basis. In addition to caring for our three children, Marteen has always gone above and beyond with tidying up and helping with laundry. This was such a huge help to our family as we adjusted to being a family of five. There are few people who can care for our three children on their own and Marteen did it with ease, enthusiasm, and care. We will truly miss Marteen and highly recommend her!
