Hello I'm a newly single mother of a 6-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy. I've been a stay at home mother for almost a decade prior to having my own kids I was a nanny for a family for about five years. Being a nanny made me want to have my own children. I've taught my kids to rock climb, swim, and I'm hoping to start teaching them to learn the violin soon. Prior to having my own children I enjoyed working for various different summer camps and daycares. I worked for the YMCA childcare center and was quickly nicknamed the baby whisperer because I could soothe almost any crying baby. Currently I'm working for a 20-year-old woman with a severe seizure disorder I have a letter of recommendation from her mother. She goes back to school in the fall so I'm hoping to find another family to nanny for in the fall. My daughter has complex disabilities. She requires assistance with walking due to fall hazards. She needs complete assistance with feeding, hygiene, and toileting. It is very hard to find willing and able caregivers for her. Marta was willing to go through the many trainings required to be a paid caregiver through Gt Independence, which incudes First Aid, CPR, Recipient Rights, IPOS training, and more. In addition she needed to learn the many details pertaining to my daughter’s care with her complex needs. Marta is an excellent caregiver who cares deeply and has an energetic, hardworking, compassionate spirit.
