About Marlene

Hello, I am Miss Marlene! I have been working with children ages 2 and up for 8 years. I have experience as a substitute teacher, English tutor for the Sylvan Learning Center, private in home tutor, over night nanny, daycare/ preschool teacher in Newport, I have light ABA training, and 1:1 aide experience in SpEd classrooms. I have a college degree in English as well as a few child development units. I am comfortable caring for up to three children. I am patient, creative, and friendly, and I enjoy outdoor play, crafts, and helping with homework. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules and communicating with parents through written daily reports, regular text updates, photos or their preferred method. I'm happy to help with cooking, homework, and light housekeeping. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. In my spare time I take tailoring/sewing classes, and bake a mean banana bread!!
