About Marlene

Hi, I'm Marlene! I'm a trilingual childcare professional based in Bushwick, Brooklyn, fluent in English and Spanish with advanced Japanese proficiency. I currently work as an assistant teacher at a Japanese preschool, specializing in early childhood care for ages 2-5. I'm CPR certified for infants and children, fingerprinted through the school system, and trained in infant and early childhood mental health and well-being. I hold a B. S. from the University of Miami and love creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. I'm especially passionate about individualized care, language development, reading, and creative play. I also love cooking, particularly Japanese cuisine, and would be excited to become a caring, dependable part of your family's daily life!
