About Marlayna

Hi! My name is Marlayna, and I am studying special education at Kutztown University. I hold an associate's degree in special ed, and concentrated in early childhood. I want to be a teacher so all children can grow and thrive! I started working with kids when my youngest sister was born. Shortly after, I began my first job as a mother's helper for a child with behavioral needs. I have work experience nannying three children at a time, but am comfortable with a range of ages & abilities. I have my own car and can complete any tasks related to driving. I am also happy to help with tasks around the home. I'd describe my personality as extroverted, adventurous, and compassionate! Also, I am a strong believer in children having an active and happy childhood. With parental permission, I emphasize spending time outside (parks/playgrounds). My skills include behavioral needs, life skills (hygiene, social/emotional, recreational instruction etc.) and educational support (tutoring).
