Hello! My name is Marlana and I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and I've been nannying/babysitting and night nursing occasionally for the past 10 years. 
I am currently a full time nanny for three little ones and I am looking for a night nursing gig.

A little insight of my day to day life: 

The little ones I am with most of my days, we spend a lot of time doing crafts, play based learning, exploring playgrounds, making meals together and nature walk adventures. We love discovering new things, places and even making up new ways to have fun (especially on rainy days!) I love what I do and I love the bonds I build with not only the children but also their parents and family. 

And for night nursing, I very much enjoy the comfort that I feel when I am caring for a newborn. My nights typically look like a cycle really. Feed, digestion/burping, diaper change, swaddle, (rock if needed), sleep. Repeat.

We hired Marlana as night nanny for our 3mo. She absolutely excelled in this role: 100% reliable, very result-oriented, and  very experienced. 

Marlana worked with us on best practices for getting the little one to sleep through the night .. which he did in the end!  

Marlana also occasionally watched our 3yo in the morning, helping him get dressed etc - she's great with that age class too, and he adored her from the start.

Marlana has been babysitting for our toddler for many months now. We love her and our son asks about her all the time! She is excellent at communicating - both for planning in advance and night of. She’s incredibly warm and sweet with our toddler, engaging him in games, reading, feeding him dinner and doing bedtime. We trust her and feel totally comfortable with her with our child. Highly recommend. 

I never thought in a million years that I would hire a stranger off a website to help with the most important thing in the world to me, but here we are. 


Our daughter had an incredibly rocky start, and was in the NICU for 32 days.  Ventilator, CPR, the works. We are not first time parents, but this was, and is, different. We were terrified to bring her home, and afraid she would stop breathing in her sleep.

We cannot say enough good things about Marlana, and are forever indebted to her. Not once has our daughter frazzled her. She has become part of the family, and as our daughter grows we know she eventually won't need Marlana nightly, despite my husband and I not knowing how we are going to give her up. Unfortunately for Marlana, she's stuck with us for life as her family.  

If you need someone, and Marlana is available, do yourself a favor and book her.  You'll forever call her your "night angel" too.

Marlana is hands down the best nanny we've ever had. Energetic, creative, knowledgeable. She was always up for an adventure and our kids were absolutely in love with her. We worked with her for a few years as a babysitter and about 9 months as a full time nanny during the pandemic. She made it a special time for the kids and brought them so much love and fun. We feel so incredibly blessed to have met her. We unfortunately had to move away, but we have kept her in our lives. The kids love their (now) auntie Marlana!

We've been lucky enough to know Marlana since our now 6-month-old daughter was just a few weeks old. Being first-time parents, we were hesitant to trust anyone with our baby, but it only took a few minutes to realize Marlana was special. She was so warm, gentle, kind, and most importantly, attuned to our little one. It's difficult to put into words just how much Marlana has meant to our family since that first meeting-anecdotally, we scheduled a vacation around Marlana's availability because she was the only person we felt comfortable leaving our daughter with while we were away. She is patient, punctual (to the minute!), communicative, engaged, loving, and is the definition of "a natural" when it comes to connecting with and caring for children. She truly loves what she does and goes above and beyond, whether it's making educational crafts or sending adorable photos and updates to soothe an anxious parent's mind. In short, Marlana is a gift.

Marlana is one of the most kind, caring, loving and emotionally intelligent human beings I've ever met.   I would hire her again in a heartbeat.  She is great with children of all ages; she helped my child, between ages 7 and 10, become a more mature and confident person. even while he navigated a variety of social challenges.  I could not be more grateful to have had Marlana in our lives.

Marlana who lovingly goes by "Marly" in our home has been caring for our 10 month old daughter since birth. She has helped us with pet care, housekeeping, overnight care and emergency care. Our daughter absolutely loves her, which is no small feat.... as a baby born during this pandemic, it has been very difficult for our daughter to emotionally tolerant anyone other than her mamas. Admittedly our girl is sensitive, emotional and independent..... which can be a tough mix for a caregiver. Marlana takes it all in stride and lets our daughter teach her, and lead the way during their time together. She is also the only person that can get her to take a bottle.... she still won't/don't take one for us.....but we have peace of mind knowing Marly has figured it out. We can't say enough about the relationship they share.... the love and admiration between them both is unmatched. If your looking for someone who can do it all, and will love your child as their own....look no further. :-)

Marlana has been babysitting for us for date nights and some mornings for the past year and a half. She is amazing with my son and we all absolutely adore her! Marlana is sweet, caring, reliable, patient, and kind. We can't say enough great things about her!

Marlana is the sweetest babysitter!!! She is not only punctual, dependable and very easy to deal with (reachable, available, driving, nice, dedicated to children), but she also has a special touch with kids and manage to have them do what they need to do by always staying very calm and gentle. Children love her! She is the best!

Marlana watches my two kids ages 1 and 3.  Both have struggled with separation anxiety when introducing a new caregiver and Marlana was excellent in this regard.  She has a calming and gentle presence that puts all of us at ease (because I worry too) and knows how to play with kids, so even the shy ones quickly come out of his/her shells.  She is also excellent with communication, texting pictures of our little ones while we are out and sharing an online calendar to understand her availability.  We feel really lucky to have her in our family's life.

Marlana has been babysitting for us since spring 2019 and has been wonderful!  I can't speak highly enough about her!  I have two daughters (6 and 2 yrs) who just adore her and get excited when they know she is coming. Marlana is kind, calm, fun, reliable, flexible and extremely adept at navigating the needs of my sometimes sensitive 6 yr old (separation, meal times, bedtime, etc.).  We've never actually seen our 6 yr old respond so well to a babysitter before!  My daughter also has severe food allergies and Marlana is very comfortable with that.  My children listen well to her and I love that she often reads to them and sings my 2 yr old a song before bed every time.  in addition to taking excellent care of our kids, we are also always pleased to come home to find a tidy house.  Marlana also has great communication with us, both for scheduling/confirming dates and while she's babysitting.  We feel so lucky to have connected with her!

Our family loves Marlana! As first time parents of a 5 mos old, she put us at ease from the first time we met her. Marlana is calm, warm, caring and patient with our daughter. They read together, sing and explore the neighborhood (bonus: Marlana knows fun activities in our neighborhood!). At the same time Marlana is exacting with our daughter's schedule, which is important to us, and she's also a great communicator, always prompt on text and quick to share any observations about our daughter (fussiness, etc.).

Marlana has babysat for us for date nights and also for full days during a two week childcare gap we had. We have complete trust that our daughter is in kind, safe and loving hands with Marlana and recommend her with enthusiasm!

She is sweet ,gentle and reliable with great concept of early childhood education. My baby loves her, we both have good time of being with Marlana. 

Marlana was a God-send. I hired Marlana to watch my two boys and my niece and nephew so we could have a date night while on vacation in NYC. Marlana is reliable, quickly responds to messages, punctual, and super sweet with the kiddos. I had peace of mind knowing my kids were well taken care of! I would definitely hire her again, as well as recommend her to all of my friends who are traveling to NYC with kids! Thank you, Marlana!
