About Marla

I'd describe my personality as personable, kind and old-fashioned. I like working with kids because it is so rewarding to watch them learn a new skill, enjoy a game or craft, get along better with others and succeed academically. I'm looking for a job that is helpful to a family and fits the schedule of my other job. I started working with kids when I switched from working with adults in 2014. I previously worked with children prior to that but years before. In my spare time, I like to read, write creatively, community activities, travel, cook and bake from scratch, movies, nature, fostering animals from the shelter and spending time with family. One thing you should know about me is I will follow through on guidelines set up by parents regarding behaviors, etc... My skills include making sure basic needs are met, fun and learning are happening and kindness to others is occurring.
