Our rating is low due to how the arrangement ended. Markell worked with my mother for four days, and during that time my mother enjoyed working with her. We accommodated her transportation needs by paying daily so she could arrange rideshare transportation to and from work. However, she became a no-call/no-show and did not communicate that she no longer intended to continue providing care. When working with vulnerable adults, clear communication and proper notice are essential, and unfortunately, that level of communication and notice was not provided, leaving our family without time to arrange appropriate replacement support which is ultimately why we would not recommend Markell.
