About Marissa

My name is Marissa, I am a 30-year-old college graduate with a degree from Lesley University and over 15 years of experience working with children! I have been passionate about childcare since I began babysitting as a teenager. Through Lesley, I received a degree in Elementary Education and have spent the years since my graduation working in an elementary aftercare program where I was responsible for caring for upwards of 30 children. After my time there I switched gears and became a nanny, which I have fallen in love with and find incredibly rewarding! Most recently, I have spent nearly two years as the nanny for one child from the time she was 5 months old. I love learning about a child's interests and spending time doing what they love. But if given the opportunity, I also love doing age-appropriate art and spending time outside (going on a walk, to the park, etc). I also find it very rewarding to engage in play that is both fun and helps the child's development.
