About Marissa

Hi there, I'm Marissa! I am a caring, dedicated, and reliable elementary school teacher. I have been around children all my life and I have always loved working with them. In high school, I babysat and tutored for families in my hometown. One of my regular families fostered children so much of my infant experience came from this job. When my younger brother was born with Down Syndrome, it ignited a light of guidance for what I wanted to do as a career. I decided to pursue a masters degree in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Special Education. I became a teacher and have taught first grade for the last five years. I also have experience teaching preschool (ages 2-5). I would love to be a part of your family's village and support you in the ways that you need. Thank you for your consideration!
