About Marissa

As a teacher's assistant at an elementary school, I spend 5 days a week working with children ages 5-11 on their school work with a focus on ELA and math. I use student-centered learning techniques. I find that making new topics fun and using hurdle-help to be imperative for young children. In addition to homework help, I can help your child with school projects, book reports, and test prep. I've been tutoring since I began babysitting as a teenager. I like to use stickers and small toys as positive reinforcement for hard work. I look forward to working with your children and helping boost those grades!
