About Marissa

Hello! My name is Marissa, but my kids call me Rissa! For the past six years, Ive had professional experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am obtaining my Bachelors degree, but I possess a Childcare Professional Certificate, as well as an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED training! My approach is warm and welcoming, and I strive to be a friendly, patient, and attentive caregiver. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules, I keep parents informed through verbal updates at pickup, and regular texts or calls, but always follow the preferred communication style. I am familiar with Montessori learning, creative curriculum, and learning through play. I can also communicate in Sign Language and am learning Spanish! I am comfortable caring for up to two children, and have my own car! I would love the opportunity to bring my experience and enthusiasm to your family!
