About Marissa

Making a positive impact on children's lives is my passion. I was a teacher for eight years. My approach is patient, calm, creative, and friendly. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games with children. I am passionate about using less or no technology and doing fun and creative things to get kids active and engaged in meaningful tasks. I am comfortable caring for up to two children aged 0-11. I have a bachelors degree in education and am a certified teacher. I also have First Aid Training and CPR Training. I'm happy to help with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, crafts, and swimming supervision. I always follow parents' preferred communication methods and am very comfortable enforcing household rules, following the lead of the parents. I have a car and am comfortable with pets.
