Mindfully supporting individuals to complete tasks they have challenges with and promoting independence when possible is what I am passionate about. I have 23 years of experience in caring for children and adults with varying abilities and disabilities (IDD, mental health conditions, dual diagnosis and physical disabilities). I have worked in personal homes, group homes, day programs, job sites and in the community. I worked as an EMT providing pre hospital care, critical care with a Registered Nurse and transportation to and from homes, hospitals and facilities. Currently, I am a behavior therapist for children on the Autism Spectrum and can work with AAC devices. I take a trauma-informed approach to the care I offer and truly enjoy supporting others in the way they want to be supported. This work comes natural to me and I have never had any negative feedback in 23 years. I will care for your loved ones as if they were my own.
