About Marissa

I've been working with children since I was 15 through babysitting, youth programs, swim instruction, and lifeguarding. My passion for childcare continued through college, where I nannied for children with special needs and eventually became a head instructor for First Aid and CPR courses along with swimming instruction and lifeguarding while earning my degree in Elementary Education from VCU. I recently moved back to the Richmond area and am looking for summer work with kids. I'm a strong advocate for water safety and love helping children build confidence through safe, and curious exploration outdoors. I also enjoy encouraging creativity through reading, music, dancing, painting, coloring, and other imaginative activities that help kids learn and express themselves.
