About Marissa
Experience: 2 yrs
I like tutoring because I enjoy working with students in small groups or 1-1. I enjoy helping them grasp problem concepts and seeing the progress they make over the course of the semester. I started tutoring when I was in undergrad when I served as the Math department's designated Statistics tutor. In graduate school, I taught several recitation sections of Business Statistics and acted as the primary instructor for sections of Principles of Microeconomics. One thing you should know about me is my favorite subject to tutor is Statistics, but I've always been an English and Math nerd so I'm well-equipped to help in both subject areas. My skills include breaking down difficult concepts and giving relatable, real-world examples. In my spare time, I like to read, knit. and hang out with my cat Stella.
