About Marissa

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching approach. I hold a college degree and specialize in helping elementary and middle school students master English as a foreign languages. My focus is on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. By actively listening and observing how you interact with new material, I tailor my methods to suit your unique needs. I keep sessions engaging by celebrating small successes and encouraging critical thinking through interactive discussions. I believe open communication is essential for tracking progress and ensuring we achieve the best outcomes together. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding part of my work. I am happy to meet at your home, the library, or online, and I look forward to supporting your academic journey.
