About Marisela

Marisela initially came across as a sweet and caring caregiver. Although our time working with her was short, we unfortunately experienced several issues with reliability and professionalism. During the initial interview process, she missed her scheduled appointment without notifying us in advance. While she later provided a reason, there was no timely communication at the time. We decided to move forward with hiring her because her availability fit our schedule. She worked with us once a week; however, there were multiple occasions when she did not show up for scheduled shifts without prior notice. Attempts to reach her by phone were often unsuccessful, as her phone would be turned off, and text messages frequently went unanswered. Despite these challenges, we made efforts to continue working with her and addressed concerns openly, even adjusting expectations to reduce potential stress from certain duties because we appreciated her personality and caregiving demeanor. Unfortunately, the communication and attendance issues continued. She did not show when she had a shift and the patient was left alone while all other family members were out of the country despite being well aware of this. Her employment ultimately ended when she did not appear for a scheduled shift and did not notify us beforehand or communicate afterward. Based on our experience, families seeking a caregiver who is dependable and communicates consistently may want to carefully consider these factors.
