About Marisa

Hi! My name is Marisa, and I am a dependable, compassionate caregiver and tutor. I aim to make children feel safe, supported, and confident. I have experience caring for age ranges of infancy through the adolescence, and enjoy creating a positive environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun! I have experience working with children of various personalities, and learning styles, including children on the autism spectrum. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, communication, and individualized support, and I strive to meet each child's unique needs while helping them build confidence and independence. In addition to childcare, I offer tutoring and homework assistance. As a biology student with a strong academic background, I enjoy helping students strengthen their understanding of science, math, study skills, and organization. My goal is to make learning approachable and help students feel successful both in and out of the classroom.
