About Marisa

Hey there, my name is Marisa! I have been attending grad school for the past year, earning my Master's of Secondary Education in Social studies and History so that I can work as a middle or high school teacher soon. I finish my program in just a few weeks and I am looking to fill up some of my free time over the summer, before I student teach this fall. I have worked with kids of almost all ages and in almost every setting. I have been nannying in some form since I was 14, volunteered as a cheer coach for 3 years, volunteer in a middle school library weekly, and am currently working as a substitute teacher in the Bellingham Public School District. I have experience working with little ones starting at just 3 months old, all the way up to the high school students I work with. I truly have a passion for making connections with the kids I work with and am excited to continue doing so over this summer and into my future career. I hope to meet you and your family very soon!
