About Marisa

I cared for both of my grandparents, my aunt and my father in their later years. I have also worked in a memory care home, providing patient care to varying levels of dementia sufferers. I'm looking for a job that fulfills me and eases the burden to a loved one's family; I know only too well how daunting of a task it is to simultaneously manage both your own family and the care of a parent or other aging loved one. It is NOT easy. I am here to help. One thing you should know about me is that I will love and care for your family member as if they were my own. I will listen to them and I will hear them. As our loved ones age, it is so important that they are respected for the wise and independent person they still are, to whatever degree that may be. Allowing them to feel in control, while still providing them the safety and dependence that they need, is what will make them continue to feel valued and loved.
