Hello! I am bubbly, patient, and creative person with approximately 11 years of experience caring for children, primarily from toddlers to elementary school. With me, your children will receive appropriate care, and I'm willing to do additional tasks if requested without being asked (such as cooking, light cleaning, etc). I'm an organizer, planner, and multitasker, so minimum supervision is required. With all my knowledge and experience, I'm able to provide a supervised, safe, and stable environment for your little ones. Vaccinated - CPR Certified in 2018
Marina worked with us as our part-time nanny from when our baby was just six weeks old until starting daycare, for a total of eight months. Hiring Marina is easily one of the best decisions we’ve made in our parenting journey so far. I am first-time mom and like many others I had to return to work a few weeks after giving birth as I had no paid leave. My job allows me to work from home, but being with my baby alone all day and attempting to get work done in the evenings was quickly burning me out. As soon as Marina started working with us I felt an immediate weight lifted. She had not nannied for a family with a newborn before, but she was an extremely quick study, wonderful with communication, and respectful of the way my partner and I have set up our home as well as our approach to parenting. I immediately felt at ease having her care for our baby, both during times while I was working at home and other occasions when my partner and I have been out of the house. Some takeaways for what makes Marina an excellent nanny: - She is extremely kind, gentle, and empathetic. She will truly care about your child and try to understand what they need. Our baby grew to adore her as did our two cats. - She is smart, hard-working, and takes pride in her strong work ethic. She is someone who cares about the quality of her work and in being a reliable person. - She has excellent communication skills and approaches feedback as an opportunity to learn. She is also open about when she may not know something. Troubleshooting is an extremely smooth process with Marina. - She is an easygoing and non-judgmental person. As an example: when she first started, I felt a bit embarrassed about needing to take naps since one of our reasons for hiring a nanny was to allow me to do work. Plus I am prone to self-critique. Marina’s personality made it possible for me to relax and feel comfortable in my own home. I never felt like I had to put on an “act” and truly felt like I could be my authentic self. - She is an interesting and lovely person! It’s been a true joy getting to know her over this past year. In sum, any family that has the opportunity to work with Marina is truly lucky. We could not recommend her more highly.
