About Marilin Daniela

Marilin was a caregiver for my mother who is at a fairly advanced stage of dementia/Alzheimer’s. My mother doesn’t warm up easily to people but with Marilin it was smooth sailing from the very first interaction and their bond only grew stronger in time. Marilin brings a tender, patient, caring and bubbly energy that made my mother happy to see her every day. Treating mom like her own family member, she showered her with affection while also being very effective in tending to sensitive needs like support in toileting, bathing, and other hygiene tasks. Unlike some caregivers who default to just watching tv and not interacting much with mom because of her confusion and periodic agitation, Marilin loved to mix things up and find alternative ways to connect with music, karaoke, and dancing. Always attentive and communicative, I could count on Marilin to give us thourogh updates about things observed during her shift such as any changes in my mother’s behavior/mood, physical health, or energy levels. She cautiously managed mom’s “sundowning” episodes and could redirect her to keep her safe and calm. She would also take the initiative to do light clean up around the house without being asked which was always appreciated. I absolutely loved having Marilin as a part of my mom’s caregiving team and I highly recommend her!
