About Mariko

I've been a caregiver to children ages 0-10 yrs for 5 years. My most recent job is a live in nanny to 2 kids, starting at ages 8mo and 4yrs, working for over 5 months. I'm fluent in ASL. I'm interested in studying nutrition and childhood development. I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, adaptable, and creative. I like working with kids because it brings me joy to hear and observe how their little brains operate and discover the world. I'm looking for a full time job that requires quality time to develop a bond to give your child detailed and personalized care. I started working with kids the summer going into my freshman year of high school, year 2019 In my spare time, I love to bake/cook, music, being active as well as reading and journalism. One thing you should know about me is I'm very hands on. I like to keep active with kids by doing arts and crafts, reading, going outside, anything interactive. My skills include communication, enthusiasm, and patience.
