About Marie

Hello, my name is Marie and I am passionate about child care and the great outdoors. I have worked with children of various ages throughout the past 15 years. During my first three years of college I studied Elementary Education, working in classroom settings weekly while also babysitting in the evenings. I have also worked as a camp counselor, teacher aid, elementary tutor, and more recently was a volunteer math tutor in the Bellingham School District last school year. This volunteer experience reminded me of my desire to return to childcare and be further integrated into the community I am a part of. I am looking for consistent part-time work in a position. For the past six years I have primarily been working as a freelance environmental writer. I offering tutoring for elementary aged children in a variety of subjects. Most of my tutoring experience has been in math, reading, and writing.
