About Marie

Hello, my name is Marie and I am passionate about childcare and the great outdoors. I have worked with children throughout the past 15 years. *AVAILABLE starting 10/27 During my first three years of college I studied Elementary Education, working in classroom settings while babysitting in the evenings. I have worked as a camp counselor, teacher aid, elementary tutor, and as a math tutor at Sunnyland Elementary. This experience inspired me to return to childcare and be further integrated into my community. I am looking for consistent part-time or full-time work in a position. For the past six years I have been working as a freelance environmental writer. I enjoy working with children because of their innate curiosity in the world. Being able to witness them experiencing the world around them is what keeps me returning to childcare positions. In my free time I love to trail run, go tidepooling, bake, sew, crochet, paint, and am currently working on illustrating a children's book.
