I am an experienced Caregiver for patients of Alzheimer's/ Dementia. I also cared for an elderly woman who was diagnosed with ALS disease. I was in charge of physical therapy. Administering feeds through feeding tube. Giving her breathing machine sessions and cough assist. Bathing. My patient was unable to walk so I did her transfers from bed to wheelchair, wheelchair walks outside. Transfer to bath and bathing. Retrieving and sending out mail/bills. Ran errands for her husband as he had special needs. Grocery orders. Bank transactions. Ordered medications. Tidying up of the house, made bed and did the laundry. Accompanied her to all doctors visits and made her appointments. Gave updates to the doctors of daily happenings. Brought her to church every Sunday. Also accompanied her during family gatherings/events. But most of all provided uplifting spirits and became great friends! :-)
