About Mariela

I'd I'd describe my personality as bubbly, artistic, organized, patient, and caring. I enjoy working with children because I believe in helping future generations grow, learn, and become better. My motto is, "Kids don't know any better; we are teaching them to become better." I started working with children when I was in high school through summer camp. I have worked in an after-school program, as a Food Explorers Activity Specialist where I taught groups of 15-30 children lessons on nutrition while helping them make meals and snacks. I have nanny experience with toddler twin boys, and I currently nanny for a toddler girl who I have been caring for since she was 6 months old. I have my associate degree in Early Childhood Education, I'm currently enrolled in Lehman college for my bachelors degree in speech language pathology and Audiology. I am CPR and First Aid certified, fluent in English and Spanish, and I have my driver's license. I am also comfortable with pets.
