About Mariela

Empowering students to reach their full potential is the core of my 10-year teaching journey. I hold a graduate degree and specialize in helping students from elementary through high school master subjects ranging from Math and Science to Business and Art. My approach focuses on building confidence by breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and connecting lessons to your personal interests. I actively observe how you engage with new material, allowing me to adapt my methods-whether through visual aids or hands-on practice-to suit your unique style. I believe clear communication with families is essential to foster a collaborative, supportive environment. Nothing compares to the joy of witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student masters a difficult skill. I look forward to supporting your academic growth and celebrating every success along the way.
