About Marie

I am a mature professional who works educating children in academics, health, and fitness in Center City, Philadelphia. I earned my teacher certification, elementary education from Temple University in 2012. Last year, in 2012/13, I worked with children at an Elementary School (19147) providing small group instruction to children who needed academic support. In the past I've taught elementary age children in after-school programs, high school physical education/personal fitness, and have one-on-one trained teens who needed help with weight loss and motivation. I am experienced in child care and my most valuable experience comes from raising my own son as a single parent. He is now in college. I am energetic, creative, well-spoken, and an excellent role model for children. I enjoy cooking, homework help, the arts, and more. I'm currently a part-time tutor with Sylvan Learning Center in Center City, Philadelphia.
