I am a certified tutor through the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council. As a volunteer for several clients I have taught reading and writing skills to people as old as 70. As a day care worker with 20 plus years in the field and five years in an after care program, an aspect of my job within the program was tutoring. The students in the program were between the ages of 6 and 12. I have not taught anyone English as a second language but it is my native tongue and I am an affluent speaker with a broad word base. I can also be of assistance with people needing help or training in public speaking, whether that is in a business forum or an educational forum. Young students who wish to audition for a play and need help with a monologue or business professionals needing help with a speech. My background is in performing arts as well as early child education. Both of which I have served in a professional capacity.
