About Marie Aude

We highly recommend Marie. She has been working with us for 4 years now; she started with us in early 2022 when our son and daughter had just turned 3 and 1 year- old. She has worked with us part-time during this entire period, roughly 6-20 hours per month. Marie is one of the most energetic and enthusiastic people I have met. She enters our house ready to greet, hug, and play with the kids. She is always prepared with a plan and an activity, but can be flexible and let the children lead as well. Often she has a bag of arts and craft projects packed with her, but she also makes sure the kids get time outside and will take them to the playground or on a hike. Marie has been loving and attentive to our children, and has spent a lot of effort getting to know them and honor their particular interests, talents, and dispositions. She remembers them on their birthdays, caters her plans and projects to their interests, and often brings library books on the topics of their choice. Marie brings decades of experience, and we see it and benefit from it. She can redirect a stubborn 3-year-old, and work with them to achieve what sometimes feels like the impossible, whether leaving the playground, getting a picky eater to eat broccoli, or having them bathed and in bed on time. She can handle a melt-down, and understand when to give a child a little space to reset, and how to refocus their attention on something else to avoid a conflict. Another beautiful trait that Marie-aude carries is her punctuality and responsibility. She has never been late – in fact, she often arrives early to prepare car seats or snacks for the children. She follows a schedule and sticks to it, all while weaving in warmth and loving care. We trust her fully with caring for our children and our home. Our children are now 7 and 5, and ask us when Marie is coming next. They love their days with her – she brings love, care, excitement, and a continuity and commitment that we feel so grateful for, since we don’t have family nearby. Marie has treated our children like family, and we hope to continue this relationship with her. We couldn’t recommend her more.
