About Maria

I have 10 years of experience as a caretaker for the elderly. My parents moved in with me when my mom got diagnosed with Alzheimers and my dad started to show signs of dementia. For 10 years, I acted as their 24-hour caregiver, looking after them to make sure they were comfortable and safe. This included feeding, bathing, dressing, and administering medication. They were not always cooperative with me, but I have both patience and compassion. My mother in particular required specialized attention as her Alzheimers progressed and her cognitive abilities declined. Fortunately, her visiting nurses provided great guidance and I'm now well-equipped to help people who are facing similar challenges. I understand the day-to-day challenges of caring for our seniors because I've already been on the journey myself. I'm very empathetic to the hardships that families face in dealing with these significant challenges, and I greatly enjoy helping families take care of their loved ones.
