About Maria

Hi families! My name is Maria, and I am currently a full-time graduate student pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work in May and have experience working with children ages four and older, particularly in school settings and with children who have experienced trauma. I am CPR certified and fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to communicate effectively with bilingual families. My goal is to create a positive impact by providing children with a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to grow. I also believe in meeting parents where they are by building trusting relationships, maintaining open communication, and working together to best support their child's unique needs.
