Having a younger sister with Downs Syndrome & Cerebral Palsy, I assumed a caregiver role at a very young age. Out of my six siblings, she and I have always been exceptionally close and I continue to play major role in her care. In return she has given me more in laughter, love, and lessons than I can possibly list here. As a mother of 3, I spent the first 14 years of my childrens' lives as a stay at home mom. A time in life I cherish. I value acceptance, diversity, kindness, and compassion, while encouraging children to explore nature and embrace the fun in life. Having a deep affection for the style and teachings of Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street, I would say I try to embody those qualities when shaping the lives of those around me. My goal is to help a child process their emotions and experiences in life knowing they are capable and taking comfort in knowing they are loved and accepted for the unique person they are.
