Maria was the first nanny that we hired for our baby, and I cannot imagine a better caregiver. I was looking for someone to help maintain the house in addition to childcare, and I admittedly have quite high standards for both. She exceeded my expectations with a proactive approach to accomplishing everything with little direction needed from me. I was at ease knowing that my baby, pets, and house were under excellent supervision while I was gone. We have yet to hire a "replacement" as most candidates pale in comparison. She was impressive since the first interview and never failed to amaze us thereafter. She began caring for our son at 6mo. She quickly became accustomed to the rhythm of our household, and provided useful recommendations. From the first day in our home, she helped with his development, safety, creative play, BLW, sleep schedules, and physical activity milestones. At the end of each day, she provided a detailed log of how time was spent and included relevant notes about our son. This type of communication was an unexpected surprise, and very professional. She also managed our vegetarian meal prep for baby and me. Opening the fridge to an organized row of labeled dishes was a dream come true - healthy and easy. Maria also cleaned our home far beyond "light housekeeping". Dishes, laundry, deep cleaning, and organizing were done on a weekly basis. She was also so sweet to our dear pets. I could continue to rave about her capabilities, but I'll summarize with this: I was a new mom, struggling with the idea of a "stranger" caring for my baby. I didn't know if we would even hire a nanny - maybe I could do it all myself... run a business, be a mother, and deal with the new norms of a pandemic. But once I met Maria, I knew my family needed her. She's intelligent, resourceful, reliable, and one of a kind. She was an essential part of our family finding balance, and we are so grateful for her.
