Hi there! I have 10 years of experience in child/teen care. Throughout the years I have taken care of and advised all ages. I have worked with children who have Autism and other special needs (some medical), so I am very comfortable working with kids who have special needs as well as those who do not. My years of being a camp counselor and working for the Chester County Intermediate Unit have made me well versed in keeping children busy and having fun for hours. It is my great pleasure to recommend Maria. She is legitimately one of the most reliable and responsible people I have ever met. She takes initiative and direction smoothly and she keeps an incredibly positive attitude. To top it all off, I have never met a child who doesn't love her! I supervise Maria at an free overnight camp for kids with autism and medical needs. Maria has worked with dozens of children with autism, and is very comfortable using supported transitions, visual schedules, timers, alternate communication methods, and other anxiety reducing techniques. She has worked with kids of all backgrounds and I trust her with the care of my own step-son. Hire her ASAP and keep her happy!
